The variety of the colorful rectangular-shaped Ladas that the city is full off is one of the most playful images in the city of Ganja. This toy-like-looking beauties become all the more noticeable when parked next to a Mercedes. Upon my arrival to Azerbaijan, I have spotted that Lada and Mercedes are the two most popular car brands which was later confirmed by the locals. This, coincidentally, somewhat turns into a symbol of the unification between East and West. An Italian-designed, Russian- produced bright Lada resting next to a German Mercedes – what a site!
