There is a great variety of types of plov – a dish of rice cooked in seasoned broth (in brief). I knew the taste of plov from before – my mom would make her interpretation of it and I thought there could be no better version. Little did I know… Only having tasted the Royal Plov during my visit in Ganja, I think I have discovered a new winner of the plov-competition of all time. Baked in a soft pastry that slowly melts in the mouth, stuffed with tender rice and juicy vegetables – it tasted like heaven. And I didn’t even touch the meat. Though, gotta admit, I was tempted.
