Juma Mosque is a prayer house located in the centre of Ganja. Built in the year 1606 in celebration of the city’s independence from the Osman Empire, to this day it serves as a place of worship. Having had the honor to enter it, we were warmly welcomed by a local lady. Though the translation wasn’t flawless, the main message was pretty clear.
“Allah loves us all” the words followed by a gentle smile was the message which I so wish I could spread across the world. Though a group of all different religions – we were neither invaders, nor enemies. It felt peaceful inside.
