Xırnik is the slang word used in Ganja to describe the fruit the trees of which so beautifully decorate the city. As I’ve been told, the original word for persimmon in Azerbaijani is xurma, but the Ganjans are so fond of it they they have created their own word for it. Xırnik it is then!
